Job description

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our client's manufacturing team in Guelph, ON region.

Shift - Days

Pay -$32 / hr - $35 / hr

Key Responsibilities :

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, models, and specifications to plan the fabrication of tools and dies.

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools including lathes, grinders, milling machines, and EDM equipment to build or repair precision parts.

Inspect completed tools and dies for accuracy and ensure they meet product specifications using precision measuring instruments.

Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on tooling and die sets to minimize production downtime.

Modify tools and dies as required to improve performance or meet updated specifications.

Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to resolve issues and develop cost-effective tooling solutions.

Document tool and die maintenance activities and maintain accurate records.

Follow health and safety standards in all operations.

Qualifications :

Minimum 3 5 years of experience in a tool and die environment.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and machining techniques.

Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
