Tonic House Lead Attendant Job Description

Sweat and Tonic (S&T) is Toronto's most innovative and exciting boutique fitness and wellness hub, offering the widest collection of expertly programmed group fitness classes in Canada. S&T creates a curated, immersive fitness experience for sweat addicts to challenge their minds and bodies within a community that grows, succeeds, and celebrates together. With premium spa facilities, café, and bar offerings, members can recharge, recover, and reignite. Tonic House, the multi-functional lounge, workspace and event venue, inspires collaboration and innovation. Since opening in 2019, we've innovated and expanded our state-of-the art classes across multiple channels: In-studio, Sweat in the Park, Sweat Live, Sweat on Demand, and Sweat on the Roof – a one-of-a-kind, outdoor rooftop fitness studio in the heart of downtown Toronto. In 2023, we opened our first international sister location, Silver Springs, a boutique yoga and Pilates oasis in the heart of Los Angeles. Now, we have launched our second location in Toronto at The Well in December 2023. With our new 25,000 sq.ft. location, this is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become a part of a passionate, dynamic team that is here to disrupt the fitness industry.

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

  • Serve as the on-site lead host and bartender during high-volume periods, modeling exemplary service at every touchpoint.
  • Engage with guests, build relationships with members, and troubleshoot any guest concerns or escalations with professionalism.
  • Ensure Tonic House rules and etiquette are consistently upheld, preserving the tone and ambiance of the venue.

Operations & Inventory

  • Oversee daily space setup and closing procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization are top priorities.
  • Maintain stock levels, assist with ordering, and track usage of alcohol, garnishes, and bar supplies.
  • Support event execution on-site and coordinate closely with the Events and F&B Management teams on Tonic House programming.
  • Complete administrative duties such as (but not limited to) updating MarketMan, reconciling invoices, and assisting with the creation and execution of run of show documents for events.

Innovation & Growth

  • Contribute to seasonal cocktail menu development and staff tastings.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Participate in planning and hosting community events, member activations, and private bookings.

The successful candidate will have flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
