Job summary

Community Sports Partners in Milton, Ontario, is seeking energetic soccer coaches to work with toddlers and youth across age groups. You will lead engaging sessions that build basic skills and a love for sport in a fun, safe setting.

Sessions run on weekday evenings and weekends; you will communicate with parents, deliver constructive feedback, and help kids progress in a positive, supportive environment. Summer and winter seasons required.

Qualifications

• Experience with and enthusiasm for working with young children is essential.
• Available weekday evenings (4pm–8pm) and/or weekends (9am–12pm on Sat/Sun).
• Reliable, professional and high-energy, able to coach for 2+ hours.
• Good communication with children and parents; able to provide feedback.

Job description

CSP is one of the largest and fastest growing private youth sports operators in the GTA. We provide fun, engaging experiences, creating lasting memories for the youth and families in our communities! We're looking for energetic, enthusiastic, and kid-friendly soccer coaches to join our team!

Our program starts with children aged as young as 18 months and gets them excited about "organized activities". At that age, it's way more about fun and fist pumps than it is about soccer. However, our children quickly progress into kicks, goals and even scrimmages. By the time they hit ages 5 or 6 we introduce them to scrimmages and then onto more competitive play thereafter. We continue to progress through to our oldest kids, who can be as old as 13, and are more focused on game-like situations and skill development.

We are currently hiring for Toddler Coaches who have experience working with children ages 2-5 years, and Youth Coaches who have experience working with ages 6 -14 years. Preference for experienced soccer coaches who are able to work with both Toddler and Youth ages.

• Passionate about working with and engaging young children is a must.
• Availability on weekday evenings (between 4pm - 8pm) and/or weekends (between 9am - 12pm on Saturday/ Sunday).
• Reliable and professional.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and outgoing personality who enjoys working with children, parents, and co-workers.
• Able to be playful, fun, and imaginative with children.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with children and deliver feedback to parents.
• High energy individual who is physically fit and able to coach soccer skills/games with young children for 2+ hours
• Available to work through Summer and Winter seasons.

Ideal Experience:

• Experience working with children ages 2 – 6 years.
• Preference for experienced soccer coaches who are able to work with both Toddler and Youth ages
• Experience with other types of young child sports organizations (SportBall, City Camps, Pedalheads, etc.) or soccer environments (Little Kickers, Timbits Soccer, House Leagues, etc.)
• Coaching certification (Active Start, FUNdamentals, Learn to Train, etc.) is an asset
• Complete both of our short assessments (about 5 minutes each) before or right after applying. Applications with both completed are reviewed first:

Compensation: $19-27 per hour
