Bannockburn School is seeking a Toddler teacher for September 2024. Bannockburn has an authentic Toddler Montessori program with exceptional standards. Bannockburn is a warm and welcoming environment that every family is proud to call home.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing a welcoming classroom environment that reflects a commitment to support students
  • Providing students an educational experience designed to inspire and challenge them to achieve their full potential
  • Supporting the growth and development of students through the delivery of the Montessori philosophy
  • Maintain accurate student record keeping, including long and short-term lesson plans, observations and individual progress documentation
  • Planning and participating in field trips, including overnight and out of province trips.
  • Establishing positive relationships with other faculty members and parents in the school community
  • Participating actively in all staff, faculty, and department meetings to plan, review, and implement learning
  • Actively participant in the community life of the school, including attendance at school events
Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
  • Toddler Montessori teacher training diploma (MACTE or AMI)
  • Early Childhood Education Diploma is an asset
  • A proven professional approach and work ethic
  • A demonstrated passion for working with children
  • Experience in creating an educational environment that enables students to learn, develop and grow to their full potential
  • Strong communication skills required (oral and written)
  • Effective classroom management and organizational skills
  • Current Standard First Aid/CPR-C (or willing to obtain before starting)
  • Current Vulnerable Screening Police Record Check (or willing to obtain before starting)
