The opportunity

As a Senior Advisor, Stakeholder Engagement, you will lead stakeholder engagement processes, build relationships, and ensure transparent, inclusive, and purposeful engagement activities across the IESO.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and coordinate stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Develop relationships to enhance IESO’s visibility and reputation.
  • Create strategic engagement plans tailored to each initiative.
  • Implement engagement mechanisms like webinars, committees, and outreach efforts.
  • Encourage participation from all stakeholder groups.
  • Participate in internal and external working groups to refine engagement strategies.
  • Manage web content related to engagement activities.
  • Document engagement activities and prepare reports.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts with other IESO teams.
  • Support planning and execution of engagement initiatives, including technical working groups.
  • Serve as a primary contact for stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

What you need to succeed

  • 4-year University Degree or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Strong communication, diplomacy, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze issues, consolidate feedback, and develop strategic responses.
  • Knowledge of Ontario’s electricity sector regulations and practices.
  • Experience in customer service and managing complex inquiries.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Negotiation and influence skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
