Position Summary

We seek a Mid-Level Security Engineer for our Security Engineering team. This hands-on role focuses on engineering, deployment, and administration of Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) across Cisco Firepower and Fortigate platforms. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, thrives in a dynamic environment, has strong English communication skills, and demonstrates personal accountability and organization.

Primary Responsibilities

• Engineer, deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco Firepower and Fortigate IPS solutions across enterprise environments.
• Monitor system health, ensure uptime, and respond to issues.
• Manage firmware upgrades, patching, policy tuning, and alerting rules.
• Collaborate with teams to enforce network security policies.
• Document standards, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Participate in incident response activities involving IPS platforms.
• Assist in deploying and managing the organization’s PAM solution for secure access.
• Collaborate with SOC to tune and maintain IPS rules.
• Document procedures and communicate effectively within the team.
• Assist in designing and deploying Cisco Global Secure Access (GSA).
• Evaluate and recommend security technology improvements.
• Stay updated on threat landscape and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in security engineering or infrastructure security.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower (FMC/FTD) and Fortigate firewalls/IPS.
• Knowledge of secure network architecture principles and NIDS/NIPS technologies.
• Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Cisco GSA or Cisco Secure Client (AnyConnect).
• Experience with SIEM (e.g., Splunk), EDR, or vulnerability management tools.
• Industry certifications like Cisco CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, etc.
• Experience in hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
