Job summary

Kal Tire is seeking a Tire Technician to join the Vanderhoof store. You will install, repair, and maintain tires, support daily service work, and help keep operations running smoothly in a team‑oriented shop environment.

This temporary role offers full‑time and part‑time hours, with hands‑on training, and emphasizes safety and efficiency on the jobsite.

As a Tire Technician, you’ll support the day‑to‑day service work in the shop, installing, repairing, and maintaining tires while helping keep operations running smoothly. This is a temporary position with full‑time and part‑time hours available for the duration of the contract.

You’ll be part of a team that works safely, supports each other, and takes pride in getting the job done right.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, rotate, balance, and repair tires
• Safely operate tire service equipment and tools
• Inspect tires and vehicles to identify required services
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and use PPE at all times
• Support the team to keep workflow efficient and on schedule

Requirements

• Previous tire technician or automotive experience or training is preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs repeatedly and stay active throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Team-oriented with a practical, safety‑first approach
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment

Store Details

• Location: 429 1ST, VANDERHOOF BC
• Hours of Operation:
  • Monday - Friday: 7:30 to 18:00
  • Saturday, Sunday: 8:00 to 17:00
• Multiple Training Dates Starting: September 21ST, 2026

Shifts will be scheduled within store operating hours and may include weekends.
