Job summary

Kal Tire in Burnaby, BC is seeking a Tire Technician who enjoys hands-on work and staying active while delivering safe, reliable service. You’ll remove, install, balance, and rotate tires for passenger and light trucks as part of a supportive team with growth potential.

From day one, you’ll receive training and access to the tools and equipment needed to work safely. The role offers $19.58 per hour to start, with structured shifts, ongoing training, and opportunities to advance into full‑time

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to work.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team.
  • Commitment to safety in all aspects of the role.
  • Previous tire or automotive experience is an asset, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Remove, install, balance, and rotate tires for passenger and light truck vehicles.
  • Perform tire repairs safely and efficiently, following standard procedures.
  • Assist with basic mechanical services (oil, lube and filter, inspections, alignments) with training and support.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and use PPE at all times.
  • Deliver consistent, friendly service that builds customer trust.
  • Stay active throughout your shift, including lifting and moving tires.
