Job Description

The Cashier I is responsible for accurately processing merchandise transactions, maintaining the balance of the cash drawer, and keeping their assigned work areas clean and organized, all while providing excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities

1. Train and guide operations staff on job duties, safety procedures, and best practices.
2. Serve food and beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, in accordance with Aramark and legal standards.
3. Perform basic food preparation, including hot and cold items, and provide made-to-order services.
4. Handle bookings and payments securely for food, beverages, and related consumables, following cash handling procedures.
5. Receive deliveries, restock supplies, and ensure displays are correctly merchandised.
6. Rotate stock and assist with stock checks as needed.
7. Maintain cleanliness of front and back of house areas to support service delivery.
8. Prepare public-facing areas and set up for hospitality events as required.
9. Support evening hospitality events with various themes and styles.
10. Report stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards to the line manager promptly.
11. Adhere to food hygiene and safety procedures, complying with health and safety standards.
12. Complete all required training, including classroom and e-learning modules.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills based on previous experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic literacy skills to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills with clients, management, and support staff.

This role may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Uniforms and/or PPE may be required.
