Job Summary

Prepares and serves coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Welcome customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
2. Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answer questions.
3. Prepare coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and techniques, such as espresso, cafe latte, and cappuccino.
4. Sell coffee and coffee brewing equipment by explaining differences in beans and machines; demonstrate equipment operation.
5. Maintain equipment by following operating instructions, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
6. Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to organization standards and sanitation regulations.
7. Improve quality by evaluating and redesigning processes, implementing changes, and maintaining the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
