Job summary

Northcan Construction LTD in Edmonton is seeking a skilled tile installer to join our on-site team. You will prepare surfaces, measure, lay and grout tile for floors and walls, using hand tools and power cutters.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience, on-site work, ability to lift heavy loads, and a reliable, team-oriented approach. Bondable with basic security clearance preferred; own vehicle recommended.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
• 2–3 years of tile installation experience preferred.
• On-site work only; no remote options.
• Bondable and able to obtain basic security clearance.
• Driver's license and own vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be tiled.
• Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, and mastic using hand trowel.
• Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to base.
• Align and straighten tiles for even joints.
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings with hand/power tools.
• Pack grout into joints and remove excess grout.
• Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
• Lay mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs.
• Install tile strips.
