Job summary

New Style Painting & Renovation in Alberta is seeking an experienced tile installer to join our on-site team. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on work, and can prepare surfaces, lay tiles accurately and follow installation best practices.

You will cut, fit and finish marble or granite where required, align tiles, and work with adhesives, mortar and power tools. This role requires physical stamina and attention to detail to deliver durable, high‑quality ceramic and stone installations

Qualifications

• No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• 3 years to less than 5 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered.
• Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or adhesives using hand trowel.
• Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to base.
• Align and straighten tiles.
• Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
• Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
• Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite.
