Job description

On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Tier 1 Support Analyst to join our Client's team on a Contract basis. This role is 100% Onsite and the Client is based in Vancouver, BC.

Summary of the Role

The Tier 1 Support Analyst will provide onsite technical advice and support for software, hardware, networks, and end-user devices within a complex enterprise environment. The role focuses on troubleshooting, deployment, and ensuring device reliability across a broad user base.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite technical support for Windows, Mac, and Linux environments.
  • Maintain, deploy, and troubleshoot desktop and peripheral hardware.
  • Track and prioritize service requests using internal ticketing systems.
  • Support software deployment through SCCM and PXE.
  • Maintain and report inventory of equipment, service contracts, and warranties.
  • Offer training, consultation, and assistance to end users.
  • Collaborate closely with the IT Desktop Services team and interact with various departments.

Core Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of complex enterprise experience.
  • Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Mac support.
  • Experience in deployments using SCCM and PXE.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in customer-facing and in-person technical support roles.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
  • Experience working within large enterprise networks.
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices.
  • Exposure to training and user-support roles.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.

Terms

This is a 1-month contract role ending August 5, 2025. The position is 100% onsite at the IRC Building in Vancouver. Selected candidates must complete reference checks prior to receiving an offer. There is a potential opportunity for the successful candidate to apply for a longer 1–2 year term role after the initial contract.
