Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a ticketed Heavy Duty Mechanic/Commercial Transport Mechanic in Squamish, BC. You will maintain a large fleet including concrete mixer trucks, dump trucks, trailers, forklifts, and light-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities include road testing, diagnosing, repairing, and performing scheduled maintenance while adhering to safety policies and PPE requirements. A pre-employment medical and certs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination.
• BC Certificate of Qualification or Interprovincial Ticket as a Commercial Transport Mechanic or Heavy Duty Mechanic Ticket; Class 1 or Class 3 with air; CVI Certificate.
• Knowledge of Hours of Service and provincial truck regulations; ability to inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical systems; welding and fabrication.
• Knowledge of Squamish area; English fluency (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems.
• Inspect, diagnose, repair mechanical systems and components.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service.
• Conduct concrete plant maintenance and repair.
• Complete reports recording problems and work performed.
• Estimate parts and labour costs.
• Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies.
• Keep accurate records of work and costs.
• Demonstrate commitment to health and safety policies.
