Cardinal Concrete, a division of Amrize, is currently seeking a ticketed Heavy Duty Mechanic/Commercial Transport Mechanic to join our team in Squamish, BC. This role involves preventative maintenance and repair of a large fleet of commercial transport vehicles, including concrete mixer trucks, dump trucks, trailers, forklifts, and light-duty trucks.
Road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components.
Inspect, test, diagnose, adjust, repair, and replace parts and components of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Perform scheduled maintenance service.
Conduct concrete plant maintenance and repair.
Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
Estimate parts and labor costs.
Maintain safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used, and costs.
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
Pay Rate: $47.80/Hourly CAD
Hours: Flexible hours 40 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Work is completed in a large shop environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; and extreme cold and/or heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move anywhere up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
