Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Detection and Response Consultant, Cyber Defence, embedded with clients in Canada's national security and defence sector to strengthen Canada’s security posture and resilience.

You will deliver incident response, threat hunting, malware triage, and forensics, design agentic AI workflows, and provide comprehensive reports for technical and executive audiences across cloud, endpoints and networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 5 years in SOC, malware research, threat hunting, or similar roles with EDR/SIEM.
• Experience leading incident response activities and obtaining security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to detect, respond to, and contain cyber security incidents.
• Design and build agentic AI solutions to support detection, response, and remediation.
• Identify and codify attacker TTPs and IOCs for investigations.
• Lead and contribute to complex client-facing investigations across cloud, endpoint, and network sources.
• Develop and present reports for technical and executive audiences.
