What is the Opportunity?

The Third Party Planning Director will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to effectively engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, collaborative partnerships.

What You Will Do Here:

  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans to support organizational goals.
  • Lead PLLA Properties and Stakeholder teams and their relations with major stakeholders such as TTC, City of Toronto, Toronto Water, TOC, and others.
  • Identify and prioritize key stakeholders including customers, partners, and community groups.
  • Foster positive relationships through regular communication and engagement activities.
  • Lead and facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Monitor and report on stakeholder feedback and concerns, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align stakeholder engagement efforts with business objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in stakeholder engagement.
  • Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.

What You Will Bring to The Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 15 years of relevant experience within a large public company, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience engaging with the City of Toronto and TTC is an asset.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, or a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and stakeholder management software.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
  • Be a champion of inclusion and diversity.
