A leading university in Ottawa is hiring a Third Class Assistant Engineer to supervise operations at the Central Heating Plant. The ideal candidate will possess a TSSA Third Class Engineers certificate and bring at least five years of relevant experience. Compassionate and collaborative, the individual will operate the co-generation plant and ensure systems are running efficiently, including making necessary adjustments as needed.

Duties And Responsibilities
Third Class Engineer Shift Engineer supervises the operation of the 4.6 MW Co-Gen Plant, boilers and other equipment in the Central Heating Plant (CHP). Supervises all registered equipment under the CHP such as refrigeration, compressors and other related equipment. When necessary, makes needed adjustments to controls settings and equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operation and dependable service.
