Job summary

Canadian Natural Resources Limited seeks a Development Engineer in Calgary, Alberta to optimize thermal production using SAGD, steam flood, and CSS methods. You will collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, field staff and other professionals to deliver technical and economic evaluations that maximize asset value.

The role requires a BSc in engineering and 3+ years of experience with registration or eligibility for APEGA, strong problem solving, communication, and leadership, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering and APEGA eligibility/registration.
• 3+ years of engineering experience in the oil and gas sector.
• Strong problem solving, communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with data analytics and visualization is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and create depletion and development plans to maximize project NPV.
• Monitor reservoir performance and recovery strategies for assets.
• Provide regular project updates and technical evaluation reports for senior management.
• Design and justify workovers, steam and depletion plans, and targets.
• Maintain monthly and annual production forecasts and contribute to budgets and planning.
