Position Overview

We seek an experienced Delayed Coker/Visbreaker Process Engineering Specialist to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence Team within the Global Manufacturing Support Department (GMSD). This team provides multidisciplinary support to our refining and petrochemical facilities in Saudi Arabia and globally.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform performance reviews of delayed coker/visbreaker units, analyzing KPIs and developing improvement reports.
  2. Lead benchmarking sessions and facilitate knowledge sharing among global facilities.
  3. Provide technical advisory support remotely and on-site, troubleshooting and optimizing operations.
  4. Drive programs to enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve reliability.
  5. Develop and enforce best practices and standards in engineering and maintenance.
  6. Support project teams with technical expertise during engineering and procurement phases.
  7. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for equipment performance and integration.
  8. Conduct safety and compliance audits of equipment.
  9. Evaluate and recommend new technologies for process improvements.
  10. Maintain technical documentation and reports.
  11. Participate in business planning and stakeholder engagement for capital projects.
  12. Organize workshops with licensors and global facilities for process technology exchange.
  13. Assist in incident investigations related to process technologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 15 years of industry experience, with 10+ in delayed coker/visbreaker operations.
  • Proven track record of optimizing unit performance.
  • Deep knowledge of relevant processes, equipment, and industry standards (ASME, API, NFPA).
  • Experience with inspection, failure analysis, and NDE techniques.
  • Expertise in remaining life assessments and refractory repair.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical reporting and presentations.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as Aspen HYSYS, ANSYS, HTRI.
