A prominent health service provider is seeking a Therapy Assistant for the new hospital in Richmond Hill, Canada. This full-time contracted position involves working collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver therapeutic services. Candidates should have an OTA/PTA diploma and at least one year of inpatient experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this dynamic role.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Full time contract position until Mar. 2027, Mon-Fri, 8 AM to 4 PM with one weekend shift every month (Complex Care program)
We are currently seeking Therapy Assistant to work at the new Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital acrossall inpatient (inpatient:neuro, cardiac, surgical, medicine, rehab, ortho, ER, ICU). As a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team, the Occupational Therapist/ Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA/PTA) will collaborate in the provision of therapeutic services. The Therapy Assistant will practice under the guidance and direction of a qualified Registered Occupational Therapist and/or Physiotherapist.
As the successful candidate, you are a graduate of a recognized OTA/PTA Certificate or Diploma program from an “accredited community college” with one year of work experience in an inpatient setting. You demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a high level of initiative and adaptability to rapidly changing demands.
