Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Therapy Assistant to deliver multidisciplinary TA services to clients in a Continuing Care Type B home. Based at Taylor View Towers in Red Deer, you will work with an interprofessional team including OT, PT, Recreation Therapist, and SLP.

The role may service other facilities within Red Deer and surrounding areas. You will hold a diploma in Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant and may require BCLS-HCP certification, with duties spanning direct/indirect client

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited post-secondary rehabilitation Therapy Assistant program.
• Heart & Stroke: Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification is required.
• Diploma may include Recreational Therapy or equivalent related training

Responsibilities

• Provide multidisciplinary therapy assistant services under supervision as part of an interprofessional team.
• Support direct and indirect client care across health care continuum.
• Contribute to quality improvement, program planning and student supervision
