Eagles Nest is expanding our team with therapists who are interested in giving back to our community. We are looking for professionals who reflect the values of Eagles Nest and are committed to making a difference.

Overview

Eagles Nest is a registered charity located in Waterdown. For more than 20 years, Eagles Nest has been working in the community, equipping people with tools to create a healthier future. We work with individuals and families looking to make change happen in a supportive and positive environment. We help people care for their mental health, cultivate healthy relationships, navigate trauma, and develop self-worth. Our professional and caring staff and volunteers offer counselling, coaching, and support programs to adults, youth, and children. All services and programs are low-cost or subsidized, making them accessible to everyone.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide individual therapy in person or virtually.
  2. Organize and maintain current electronic client records.
  3. Participate in one-hour monthly team meetings to review cases.
  4. Participate as required in supervision sessions — Clinical supervision is provided in accordance with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) for any RP (Qualifying).
  5. Work with the Program Manager to establish a schedule that suits both the therapist and Eagles Nest, considering the therapist's practice commitments.
  6. Identify client populations and areas of specialty to facilitate effective client-therapist matching.
  7. Work out of our HOPE Centre location (Dundas St. E, Waterdown).
  8. Utilize Eagles Nest's administrative support for client intake, scheduling, and payments.
  9. Use the online management system Owl Practice for clinical notes, secure messaging, scheduling, and video therapy.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Must be registered and in good standing with CRPO.
  • Experience working as a therapist with appropriate supervision.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong case management skills.
  • Ability to provide therapeutic interventions with individuals, groups, and family systems.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional growth and development.
  • Current (within 3 months) clear criminal reference check with vulnerable sector search.
  • Proof of current professional liability insurance.
Additional Details

This is a part-time contract position with varying contract opportunities. The minimum commitment is one client per month or one hour bi-weekly. The position offers an immediate start date at $25/hour.

Therapists will be compensated for direct client hours, notes, intake calls, and meetings. All supervision costs are covered by Eagles Nest.
