Overview

We are looking for a Store Manager for The Shoe Co. who will lead the store environment, foster inclusivity and develop the team to achieve store objectives, including in-store sales, web orders, recruiting, performance management, training and development. The role reports to the District Manager and requires problem solving, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and strong leadership to execute operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Assumes leadership role with accountability for maximizing store business results by creating exceptional customer experiences.
  • Facilitates achievement of business results by modeling a shopping experience with responsive customer service, compelling merchandise presentation and operational integrity to build customer connections and loyalty.
  • Lead an operationally sound business by balancing policies, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting and scheduling.
  • Recruit, manage, develop, and train top talent who have a love of shoes.
  • Achieves company objectives and enhances The Shoe Co. brand image by modeling values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity/Humility.
  • Develops and implements agile business plans to achieve results.
  • Fosters teamwork, collaboration and change advocacy within the store and district.
  • Maintain effective, open lines of communication with Senior Operational Managers.
Qualifications
  • Educational background: relevant post-secondary education.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in progressive retail supervisory role.
  • Proven success in achieving sales and profitability targets in large-volume top doors.
  • Positive and energetic team player with strong leadership capability.
  • Proven ability to motivate others.
  • Proficiency in computer use, including email, word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while creating a compelling customer experience.
  • Ability to work days, closing shifts and weekends.
  • Mobility within a geographic area.
