Role Overview

We’re looking for a Store Manager for our The Shoe Co. banner who will put their best foot forward. As a Store Manager at The Shoe Co., you will report to the District Manager and lead the store environment, fostering inclusivity and diverse customer connections. Your responsibilities include coaching and leading the team to achieve store objectives such as sales, web orders, recruiting, performance management, training, and development. Success in this role requires problem-solving skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, team leadership, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maximize store results by creating exceptional customer experiences.
2. Model a shopping experience that promotes responsive customer service, appealing merchandise presentation, and operational integrity to foster customer loyalty.
3. Manage store operations including policies, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling.
4. Recruit, develop, and train passionate shoe enthusiasts.
5. Align store activities with company values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity/humility.
6. Develop and implement agile business plans to meet targets.
7. Promote teamwork, collaboration, and change advocacy.
8. Maintain effective communication with Senior Operational Managers.

Qualifications

1. Relevant post-secondary education.
2. Minimum 4 years of progressive retail supervisory experience.
3. Proven success in achieving sales and profitability in large-volume stores.
4. Energetic team player with strong leadership skills.
5. Ability to motivate others.
6. Proficiency in computer applications including email, MS Word, and Excel.
7. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and focus on customer experience.
8. Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and on the move within a geographic area.
