Job Description

We’re looking for an Assistant Manager for our Shoe Co. banner who will put their best foot forward. As an Assistant Manager, you will report to the Store Manager and assist in leading the store environment, fostering inclusivity and diverse customer connections. You will coach and lead the team to achieve store objectives, including in-store sales, web orders, recruiting, performance management, training and development. Your ability to problem solve, thrive in a fast-paced environment, lead a dynamic team, collaborate and execute on operational excellence will be key to your success.

Responsibilities

• Assumes leadership role with accountability for maximizing store business results by consistently creating exceptional customer experiences.
• Facilitates achievement of business results by modelling a shopping experience that encourages responsive customer service, compelling merchandise presentation and operational integrity that fosters positive customer connections and loyalty.
• Leads an operationally sound business by balancing company policies, procedures, shrink / loss prevention, payroll, reporting and scheduling.
• Recruits, manages, develops and trains top talent who have a love of shoes.
• Achieves company objectives and enhances The Shoe Co. brand image by modelling our values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity / Humility.
• Develops and implements agile business plans to achieve results.
• Fosters teamwork, collaboration and change advocacy within the store and district.
• Maintains effective, open lines of communication with the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Proven success in achieving sales and profitability targets.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while delivering a compelling customer experience.

• Ability to work days, closing shifts and weekends.
