The role & responsibilities: We seek a Store Leader eager to advance their career by overseeing a passionate team at The Athlete’s Foot Newmarket. This role is ideal for an experienced leader looking to progress in retail. The successful candidate will work closely with the Area Manager to drive high performance, successful team development, and operational excellence.

The role also involves engaging in community activations, partnering with sporting events, and managing relationships with healthcare professionals. This position offers a dynamic work environment that goes beyond traditional retail to promote brand growth.

To be successful, you should have experience in:

  • Managing store operations to meet sales targets, KPIs, store presentation, visual merchandising, stock levels, wage control, and shrinkage
  • Motivating teams to achieve KPI and value targets
  • Monitoring sales to meet daily, weekly, monthly, and annual goals, recognizing achievements, and identifying opportunities
  • Managing wage costs within targets and following rostering standards and guidelines
  • Coaching and mentoring staff to maintain high morale and support their development with training and succession planning
  • Ensuring OH&S compliance according to legislation

  • Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or Senior Assistant Store Manager in a fast-paced environment
  • A motivated, proactive attitude with a 'Make it Happen' mindset
  • Passion for leading and inspiring teams
  • Strategic thinking to identify opportunities and drive sales and KPIs
  • Operational skills in stock control and visual merchandising
  • Experience managing rosters and wage budgets
  • Ability to build strong relationships with Support Office departments
