Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Supervisor in Calgary to lead mobile patrol teams, coordinate schedules, and uphold safety procedures. You will manage incidents, communicate with clients, and ensure vehicles and equipment are ready for service.

The role requires 2+ years in security operations with supervisory experience; a valid Security Guard license and driver’s license are required. Hybrid or on-site work options may apply in shift rotations.

Qualifications

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the mobile patrol security professionals, including scheduling, training, and performance management; provide leadership and guidance, coaching, mentoring, and enforcing company policies and procedures
• Implement crisis management protocols, including evacuation procedures, communication strategies, and resource allocation, to ensure the safety and security of personnel and assets. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction with security services
• Monitor patrol routes and schedules to optimize coverage and response times, adjusting as needed to address emerging threats or vulnerabilities
• Coordinate with clients, property managers, and law enforcement agencies as needed to address security concerns and incidents
• Maintain accurate records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, and prepare detailed reports for management and clients
• Ensure that patrol vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution
• Stay informed about security trends, threats, and best practices, and make recommendations for enhancements to patrol procedures and protocols
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the mobile patrol unit, promoting teamwork, morale, and a strong commitment to safety and security

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid drivers’ license
• Valid provincial Security Guard License
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in security operations
• Minimum of one (1) year supervisory or leadership experience
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Suite
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations
• Proven ability to effectively prioritize activities through time management skillsSkilled in de-escalation techniques
• Proficiency in security procedures, protocols, and emergency response techniques
