Qualifications

• 3+ years of object-oriented software development, preferably with C# and .NET.
• Experience with serverless and cloud-based solutions (AWS or Azure).
• Experience with source control, CI/CD, code reviews; Git, SVN, Bamboo, Artifactory.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Angular, SCSS, ASP.NET, REST design and implementation.
• Experience with test-driven development, design patterns, data structures, and Jira/Agile.
• Knowledge of data science principles and methodologies.

How you will make an impact

• Design software tools, frameworks, and applications for Windows and cloud-based platforms that support data collection and test automation.

The must haves

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in object-oriented software development, preferably utilizing C# and .NET.
• Application of serverless and cloud-based solutions, preferably utilizing Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.
• Utilization of source control management systems, CI/CD tools, code review practices, Git, Subversion (SVN), Bamboo, and Artifactory.
• Troubleshooting and debugging within complex software environments.
• Application of TypeScript, Angular, SCSS, ASP.NET, and REST service design and implementation.
• Utilization of test-driven development methodologies, software design patterns, data structures, agile development tools, and Jira.
• Application of data science principles and methodologies.

Pay Range: The salary range for this role in Ottawa is $76, 700 - $122, 500 #LI-WH1 Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
