Job description

Sage Ag Inc. is currently seeking hardworking, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individuals who are passionate about production agriculture and machinery. Through this position, you will be working with a major agricultural machinery manufacturer in dealer and customer shops. This position is 95% travel and requires extensive periods away from home. You will be working in teams of two on the cutting edge of agricultural machinery technology for planters, sprayers, combines and other equipment throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Disassembly of planters, sprayers and combines
• Following machine specific instructions
• Installation of new parts and technology onto customer’s machinery
• Reporting machine issues directly to product support specialists
• Testing and calibrating each machine system before leaving the machine
• Providing professional opinions and advice to engineering on how new features are meeting customer demands
• Correctly installing new parts for customer evaluation
• Effectively communicate to customers on the install process

Requirements:

• Minimum of 250 hours of agricultural machinery operation
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 in an agricultural major; preferably AST or Ag Engineering
• Mechanically inclined
• Excellent communication skills
• Willing to travel for six weeks or more at a time
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Out-going and positive attitude
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work long hours
• Ability to keep accurate and detailed records of work performed

Details:

Job Duration: October 1st – May 1st (full time is available)

Location: Based near Slater, IA; Traveling

Compensation: $55,000 - 60,000 (DOE) yearly, plus bonuses based on experience. All travel expenses paid by Sage Ag Inc.
