Job summary

Adecco Canada currently hires a Test Technician - Manufacturing to join the client’s team in Mississauga, ON. You will test, calibrate, and assemble mechanical components to meet specifications, with moderate machine operation and tool use. Lifting up to 30 lbs is required; security clearance as per CGP is required.

Shifts: Mon–Fri, days, 7:00am–3:30pm. Pay rate: $23.50/hour. Temporary with possibility of permanency; benefits on qualification; Canadian citizenship required as posted.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Experience in electronic assembly and troubleshooting to component level.
  • Security clearance as per CGP is required.
  • Ability to read drawings and work from test documents.
  • Able to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and product specs.
  • Assemble components and operate machines; lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Follow drawings, test documents, and standard work; perform preventive maintenance.
  • Communicate with team to prevent defects and improve safety and efficiency.

Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Test Technician - Manufacturing to join our client’s manufacturing team in Mississauga, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for testing, calibrating, and assembling mechanical components to meet product specifications. This position involves moderate machine operation, the use of hand and power tools, and requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

This role requires security clearance as per CGP.

This position is open to Canadian Citizens only.

  • Pay rate: $23.50/hour

  • Location: Mississauga, ON

  • Shifts: Monday to Friday | Days shifts available | 7:00am - 3:30pm

  • Job type: Temporary with possibility of Permanence | Full-time

Responsibilities:
  • Test, calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances to product specifications.

  • Lifting 30lbs or less with moderate machine operation

  • Uses hand tools and power tools according to product specifications Participate and effectively communicate with Team to prevent defects, increase efficiency, and improve all around safety Perform preventative maintenance task and standard start checks as per ETQ.

  • Work to drawings and test documents

Requirements:
  • (Specific expectations in the first 1 month) Certified to all mandatory Health And Safety (HSE) requirements Successful completion of the company Technician training program

  • As required by Cell Training Matrix Completion of task within standard times and quality levels using standard work

  • Adherence to all safety, ESD, housekeeping policies and procedures as per ETQ Attributes/Skills

  • Good manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination

  • Good team player Able to work from drawings and written instructions

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment to at TAKT time

  • Able to multi task

  • Flexible to work on a Second or Third shift when/if required

Qualifications:
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

  • College Diploma/Degree and or equivalent Military experience.

  • Experience in electronic assembly.

  • Experience in troubleshooting down to the component level.

  • Experience in power electronics for analog and digital circuits.

  • Security clearance as per CGP is required

  • Working knowledge of English language, good verbal, and written communication skills

  • Lifting is generally at or below 30Lbs. with moderate repetitions.

  • Moderate exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, noise, and physical risks is anticipated. Operation of carts and lifts is considered at least Industrial and may be considered Heavy as determined by other exposures.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the Company
