Job description

As a Test Facility Engineer, you will be at the heart of successful AGT gas turbine testing. You will be working closely with engineering, testers, DAS and various Sub-Contractors.

This opportunity will broaden your knowledge on operating a gas turbine, from the software to the mechanical systems, including the instrumentations and metrology requirements.

You will join forces in investigating and resolving facility system issues during tests as well as leading the facility maintenance and upgrades programs.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Technical certification
  • Member of the OIQ
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience on mechanical, controls hardware and software, instrumentation, and project management.
  • Excellent communication skills, presentation and writing skills
  • Autonomous and pro-active
  • Collaborative approach and team player
  • French and English proficiency
  • This position is in a French-speaking environment but requires fluency in English to comprehend documentation and technical terms from international sources, and to communicate with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.

Your responsibilities:

  • Technical project lead for test facility upgrade
  • Investigate and resolve test facility issues
  • Technical Support and adviser to the testing team
  • Ensures test facility readiness by monitoring the overall maintenance, calibration, EHS status
  • Plans and procures test facility spares
  • Producing electrical schematics, P&ID’s, drawings, as required
  • Major input for annual OPEX budget
  • Software maintenance: DAS, PCS, calibration etc.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
