Job summary

Armstrong Fluid Technology in Toronto, Canada seeks an Engineering Co-op to support testing of pumps, motors and drives, verification work, and technical reporting. Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a University or College program in Electrical, Mechanical, or Hardware Engineering.
  • Strong interest in rotating equipment, motor systems, drives, and fluid-flow technologies.
  • Some exposure to Electromechanical or automated systems; familiarity with hydraulics is an asset.
  • Experience with SolidWorks CAD is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of programming, soldering, circuit analysis, and testing tools.
  • Excellent communication skills – open, clear, and professional.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • A self-starter mindset with attention to detail and a drive for excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in testing centrifugal pumps, from small circulators to large hydraulic pumps.
  • Review and study DV Plan and understand test requirements.
  • Research and evaluate components, instrumentation, and new technologies.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation and engineering reports.
  • Assist with project follow-ups including evaluations, testing sessions, and technical meetings.
  • Prepare samples and testing equipment for testing.
  • Assist in CAD model generation or drawing preparation.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Co-op to join our team in Toronto, Canada. The ideal candidate will support a wide range of engineering projects, including testing pumps, motors and drives, assisting with verification, creating reports, and participating in technical investigations.
