The goal of Autonomous and Precision Agriculture is to produce more crops with less effort, less impact on the environment and to address issues with labor shortages and sustainable growth. Are you interested in working with a world leader in autonomous and precision agricultural machinery to redefine the future of the agricultural industry?

We are seeking a motivated individual for a unique opportunity to work in the verification and validation of autonomous and highly automated machines for agricultural applications. The candidate who fills this role will be responsible for ensuring that PTx Trimble systems are safe, reliable and perform as intended.

We are looking for an individual with strong technical skills and with a practical, hands-on approach to solving complex engineering problems.

  • Software and Hardware Integration: Collaborate with software, hardware, and system teams to integrate and test embedded systems, ensuring seamless operation between components.
  • Test Automation: Develop automated test scripts and tools to streamline testing processes and enhance efficiency. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze test results, identify issues, and produce detailed reports with actionable recommendations to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, procedures, and documentation to support development and compliance requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, hardware engineers, and system architects to ensure robust system design and functionality. Field Troubleshooting: Occasionally travel to field sites to diagnose and resolve issues on autonomous machinery, ensuring real-world performance aligns with HIL test outcomes.

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural, Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering. Candidates with other educational backgrounds but relevant experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB/Simulink for test script development.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, ROS).
  • Knowledge of hardware testing tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
  • Experience with sensors, actuators, hydraulics, and low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Holiday program starting at 3 weeks off
  • Recognition of experience upon hiring
  • Closure and remuneration between Christmas and New Year's Day
  • Group insurance paid at 75% by the employer
