A prominent insurance provider in York Region is seeking a passionate Junior Quality Engineering Engineer to assist in software testing and automation. We are looking for a passionate and motivated Junior Quality Engineering (QE) Engineer / Test Automation Developer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals starting their career in software testing and automation. You will work closely with experienced team members to learn and contribute to testing activities in an agile environment.

What you'll do:
Learn and assist in creating test plans and test cases.
Support the development and execution of automated test scripts.
Help maintain and enhance test automation frameworks.
Participate in testing activities including functional, regression, and API testing.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other team members to ensure quality deliverables.
Document test results and help identify bugs or issues.
Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and best practices in test automation.
What you'll bring:
A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Basic understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC.
Exposure to any programming language (Java or Python preferred).
Familiarity with automation tools like Selenium or Postman is a plus.
Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of APIs (REST/SOAP) and tools like Postman or SOAPUI.
Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Interest in the insurance domain or enterprise applications
