About your next Challenge as a Test Engineer:
Reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager, the Test Engineer supports the Engineering Manager in working with the group of hardware design and product support specialists delivering (Return-To-Service) products on time and on budget. The high-level responsibilities include:
In this role, she/he will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
What will you do:
Required Skills and Experiences:
Graduate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a recognized University or Technologist with required experience.Candidates with minimum of 2 to 3 years related experience in the following:
·Design and development of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for military and/or commercial avionics equipment testing to the component level
·Practical knowledge and experience developing RF test equipment/procedures for avionics.
·Development of Repair & Overhaul (R&O) test programs on ATE using one or more of the following programming languages and development environments: Python, NI LabVIEW, NI LabWindows/CVI, ATEASY
·Strong knowledge of with ability to evaluate and design general electronic circuits at the component level
·Working knowledge of RF technology, EMI/EMC test
·Ability to work independently, with minimal direction
·Strong computer & communication skills using MS Office product such as Word and Excel
·Working knowledge of drafting standards and CAD software such as AutoCAD
·PCB layout experience will be considered an asset
·RF design experience will be considered an asset
·Environmental test experience will be considered an asset
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
·Must be eligible for registration with theControlled Goods Program;
·Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
·Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
