Job summary

Nova Scotia Community College Digby Learning Centre seeks an Operational Support - Learning Commons Assistant to coordinate library services, assistive tech and testing centre operations. You will work with faculty, students and accessibility specialists to ensure smooth testing and support for learners.

The role requires a related diploma, strong customer service and tech skills, with occasional evening/weekend duties and commitment to inclusive education and student success.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in related field.
• First Aid and mental health training is asset.
• Minimum 2 years related occupational experience.
• Experience in a post-secondary institution or with adult learners.
• Experience in an adult educational environment is asset.
• Experience working in a test environment is asset.
• Experience with assistive technology and related software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, deliver and promote services and events in Library/Learning Commons.
• Administer Testing Centre including invigilation and policy adherence.
• Liaise with Accessibility Specialists for accommodations and assistive tech.
• Support campus events such as convocation, Get Started and Open House.
• Evening and Saturday hours may be required.
