Title : Test Automation Architect

Duration : 12 months | 37.5 hrs / week

Clearance : Must be eligible for CGP clearance (Permanent Residents or Citizens preferred with 5+ years residency in Canada)

Overview :

Our client is seeking a hands-on Test Automation Architect to design and implement comprehensive testing strategies for new networking solutions. This role involves heavy automation, collaboration with C++ development teams, and system-level validation.

Must-Have Qualifications :

• 5+ years’ experience in test design for networking products
• Strong knowledge of IP / TCP / Routing fundamentals
• Proficient in Python for test automation
• Experience with Agile methodology
• Familiar with Jira and GitLab
• Experience developing large-scale automated test suites (1,000+ tests)

Nice-to-Have Skills :

Experience with SR-MPLS

Familiarity with Grafana for test analysis

Knowledge of network testing tools (e.g., Ixia, Spirent )

Experience with CI / CD pipelines and integration testing

Key Responsibilities :

Develop and implement end-to-end test strategies and validation plans

Work with development teams to define test coverage and review software architecture

Design, document, and execute manual and automated test cases

Perform risk-based testing aligned with system requirements

Lead root cause analysis and issue triage processes

Maintain structured, repeatable, and traceable testing practices

Establish exploratory testing methods where automation isn’t feasible

Preferred Background :

Strong in software validation and structured test strategy

Experience working closely with C++ development teams

Familiarity with tools like Zephyr , TestRail , or other test case management tools

Exposure to MPLS , satellite systems, or complex networking environments

Work Conditions :

Onsite 4 days / week in Ottawa (Hybrid)

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Must be eligible for Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance
