Job description

We’re currently looking for a Territory Sales & Education Manager to join our Edmonton team on an 18-month maternity leave coverage contract. In this role, you’ll lead sales and education initiatives, build strong retail relationships, deliver impactful training, and drive brand awareness through events and in-store programming. You’ll report directly to the Regional Sales Manager and join a high-performing, close-knit team. Openings on this team are rare—most teammates have strong tenure—making this a fantastic learning opportunity in the cannabis space. We’re targeting a start date of June 1, 2025, or as soon as possible. The listed compensation reflects base salary only, with additional commission earned based on performance.

What You'll Do

You'll be the face of Rubicon Organics to retail partners, budtenders, and the cannabis community in your territory. You'll drive sales, build relationships, deliver education, and help our brands shine on the shelf and in the minds of consumers.

Key responsibilities :

  • Manage sales and education initiatives within your territory.
  • Build strong relationships with retail managers and staff at assigned accounts.
  • Drive brand awareness and community engagement through education, events, and visibility.
  • Execute programs that drive volume, achieve and exceed KPIs, increase market share, and build customer loyalty.
  • Identify new distribution and visibility opportunities that align with our premium positioning.
  • Deliver impactful brand and product education sessions to stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

You're passionate about cannabis and want to make a lasting impact in a fast-moving industry. You bring sales experience, strong communication skills, and a natural ability to connect with people. You're organized, motivated, and love being on the road meeting new people.

Required :

  • Proven success in retail sales, territory management, or account management.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs (volume, distribution, execution standards).
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills; comfortable leading education sessions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
  • Comfortable creating product promotion content for social media.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Calgary and surrounding areas (including occasional overnights).
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a well-maintained and reliable vehicle.
  • Sell Safe” certification (or willingness to obtain).

Nice to Have :

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in cannabis, liquor, or tobacco industries.
  • Experience managing events or sponsorship activations.
