Position Summary:

The Territory Sales Associate (TSA) sells and ensures best in class merchandising to include building displays, packing out product, and replenishing permanent secondary displays and maintain salability of all authorized Hershey items.

Hershey Canada is looking for a dynamic person to fill a part-time position in our Sales Team as a Territory Sales Associate in the Barrie and surrounding area. This opportunity will be of particular interest for someone who wants to work part-time in sales in an established territory and also benefit from an attractive compensation package!

What will you do?

  1. Sell and maintain 100% distribution of all authorized Hershey Items in assigned territory. Ensuring flawless retail execution of Headquarter Sales and Merchandising Plans (Retail Execution Plan) with various retailers.
  2. Achieve all merchandising objectives through the effective use of Permanent Secondary Displays and other display vehicles established within the Retail Execution Plan.
  3. Reporting of weekly activity, expenses, competitive activity, account changes, promotions and all administrative functions within assigned territory.
  4. Reporting of Daily activities through the use of tablets, submitting upon completion of each day.
  5. Responsible for Sales Territory - Varies due to territory size, number of retailers, and location.
  6. Participating in ensuring store appearance and merchandise displays are in line with plans, selling history and new receipts.
  7. Consulting with buyers, marketing and sellers product positioning and presentation plans.
  8. Creating and coordinating visual presentation of merchandise, including store layout and displays.
  9. Coaching sales staff on merchandise to enable them to suggest the appropriate merchandise to meet the customer's needs.

What We Need

  1. 1- 3 years of sales experience with sound knowledge of sales techniques in consumer packaged goods preferred.
  2. Knowledge of, and ability to develop and use strategies, practices, and tools for communicating with retail customers and for managing the day-to-day operations of retail stores.
  3. Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
  4. Valid Driver’s license and good standing driving record is required.
  5. Personal auto insurance with at least the government set minimum liability.
  6. Must reside within the boundaries of the assigned territory.
  7. Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  8. Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills.
  9. Demonstrated ability to work independently within a team environment.
  10. Detailed-oriented with fresh thinking.
  11. Proficient in MS suite (word, excel, power point) and familiar with IPAD Technology.
  12. Willingness to be a part of a high performing team that works hard and has fun!

Additional Details and Requirements:

This is a part-time position –(Monday to Thursday for a total of 28 hours/week). Access to a personal vehicle for which mileage rates will be paid.
