Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd. is seeking a Territory Manager for Underground & Tree Care products to cover the Halifax area.

You will develop territory sales strategies, identify new business opportunities, promote the underground and tree care line, and collaborate with Parts, Service, and Finance to deliver integrated solutions for customers across the region. Travel within NS, NB and PEI is required.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of proven sales experience in construction, agricultural, or heavy equipment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.
  • Willing to travel extensively within the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Promote Underground and Tree Care line to customers.
  • Negotiate sales contracts ensuring profitability.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Parts, Service and Finance to offer integrated solutions.
  • Monitor customer operations and anticipate needs.
  • Prepare weekly customer status reports and opportunity tracking.
  • Coordinate check-ins, upfitting, and delivery schedules with Sales Coordinators.
  • Complete sales documentation, travel plans, and expense reports.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings and training.

Description

Brandt Tractor Ltd. is currently seeking a Territory Manager – Underground & Tree Care Products for our Halifax location.

The Compact Construction Equipment Territory Manager specializing in Underground and Tree Care is responsible for selling new and used equipment such as Ditch Witch and Morbark, within an assigned Area of Responsibilities (AOR) of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. This role focuses on developing business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and achieving sales goals to grow revenue and market share.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Develop and execute territory sales strategies to maximize revenue and expand market share within the assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR).
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, networking, and responding to market trends to achieve growth targets.
  • Promote Brandt’s Underground and Tree Care line to existing and potential customers to strengthen brand presence and increase sales.
  • Negotiate sales contracts and terms to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to ensure retention, repeat business, and referrals.
  • Collaborate with Parts, Service, and Finance departments to provide integrated solutions that meet customer needs efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor customer operations and changing requirements to anticipate needs and provide proactive solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed weekly customer status reports, including call activity, prospect lists, and opportunity tracking, to drive informed and data-based sales strategies.
  • Coordinate equipment check-ins, upfitting, and delivery schedules with Sales Coordinators to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Complete all sales documentation, travel plans, and expense reports promptly to maintain operational accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate actively in weekly sales meetings and training sessions to stay informed on products, market trends, and company initiatives.
What We Look For
  • 3–5 years of proven sales experience in construction, agricultural, or heavy equipment industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.
  • Experience in trenching, horizontal, and directional drilling considered an asset.
  • Tree cutting and clearing experience considered an asset.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
