Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd in Calgary seeks a Territory Manager - Rentals to grow our construction and forestry rental business. You will build new relationships, nurture existing accounts, and provide consultative equipment rental solutions to meet jobsite needs.

Responsibilities include prospecting, creating visit plans, delivering quotes, coordinating rentals, and collaborating with service, billing and logistics teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Travel within territory required.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in outside sales with industrial equipment experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction equipment and jobsite operations.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and grow accounts.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

  • Build strong relationships with customers across the Brandt Group of Companies.
  • Proactively prospect and develop new business through outbound calls, site visits and networking.
  • Create daily/weekly visit plans and conduct in-person jobsite meetings.
  • Prepare sales action plans to expand wallet share within existing accounts.
  • Recommend equipment solutions based on customer needs, timelines and budgets.
  • Generate quotes, manage equipment availability, and coordinate rentals.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customers and coordinate internally on service, billing, and logistics.
  • Maintain accurate records of activity, opportunities, and pipeline in the CRM.
  • Participate in industry associations, trade shows, and local events.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and activity metrics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Territory Manager - Rentals for our Calgary Construction & Forestry locations.

The Territory Manager - Rentals is responsible for developing new customer relationships while maintaining and growing existing accounts.

This role focuses on consultive selling, understanding customer jobsite needs and delivering equipment rental solutions that support their success. This role requires a strong ability to identify and pursue new opportunities while also acting as a trusted advisor to existing customers.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • Manage and grow an assigned territory and customer portfolio

  • Prepare sales action plans to expand wallet share within existing accounts
  • Recommend equipment solutions based on customer job requirements, timelines, and budgets
  • Generate quotes, manage equipment availability, and coordinate rentals
  • Serve as the primary point of for customers, coordinating internally on service, billing, and logistics
  • Maintain accurate records of customer activity, opportunities, and pipeline in the CRM
  • Participate in industry associations, trade shows, and local networking events
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and activity metrics
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Submit expense accounts on a timely basis and in accordance to company policy
What We Look For
  • Proven success in outside sales, preferably within equipment rental, construction, or heavy equipment
  • Strong understanding of construction equipment and jobsite operations
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, close, and grow accounts
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to remain professional, organized, and customer-focused in a fast‑paced environment
  • Self‑motivated “Prospector” mindset with strong follow‑through
  • Customer‑first attitude with a consultative sales approach
  • Comfortable working independently in the field
  • Highly organized
  • Collaborative team player who works well with operations, service, and finance teams
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory
  • Must possess a valid passport and must be able to travel internationally
