Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd. is seeking a Territory Manager - Material Handling for our Calgary Construction and Forestry location. You will lead sales efforts to grow new and existing accounts, drive rental and purchase activity, and build a robust pipeline within your area.

The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, customer service excellence, and the ability to travel as needed. A driver’s license and passport are necessary; bilingual English/French is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Sales experience in heavy equipment is an asset.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Willingness to travel; valid driver’s license and passport required.
  • Bilingual English/French is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • New account creation and development; build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Achieve sales targets as set by Brandt.
  • Develop a comprehensive sales pipeline for immediate/future opportunities.
  • Promote and sell New & Used Wholegoods; promote rental and rental purchase.
  • Understand and apply product features to drive sales success.
  • Deliver ongoing prospecting and account development.
  • Maintain current product knowledge and industry trends.
  • Represent Brandt at industry events as required.
  • Maintain records of activities and quotations; submit lost sales reports weekly.

Brandt Tractor Ltd. is currently seeking a Territory Manager-Material Handling for our Calgary Construction and Forestry location.

The Territory Manager - Material Handling role is vital in the creation, fostering, and growing of Customer relationships within the defined area of responsibility (AOR) with the goal of increasing sales and rental revenue of New and Used Wholegoods.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • New account creation and development. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Customers.
  • Achieve Sales targets as set out by the Company.
  • Continuous development of a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future Customer opportunities.
  • Promote & sell all types of New & Used Wholegoods assigned to role.
  • Promote rental and rental purchase of New and Used Wholegoods.
  • Understand and apply Machine and Company Feature, Advantage, Benefit statements to drive sales success.
  • Deliver continuous Prospecting activity and development of new accounts.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and industry (competitive) models.
  • Actively participate in and promote Brandt during industry events as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of Sales activities, Customer interactions, and Quotations.
  • Submit lost sales reports on a timely basis. Lost sales reports are to be filled out on all lost sales and submitted on a weekly basis to the manager. These are a must to receive, as competitive pricing is required by John Deere.
What We Look For
  • Sales industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment considered an asset. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Ability to present and negotiate with potential customers.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious and energetic entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract and valid passport are required. B
  • eing bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
