Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd is seeking a Territory Manager - Agriculture for our Red Deer location to drive growth by creating and nurturing customer relationships, expanding the sales of New and Used Wholegoods and rental options. You will manage a robust pipeline and report activity to management.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of John Deere equipment, strong communication skills, and a willingness to travel within the defined area. Travel and a proactive sales mindset are essential.

Qualifications

  • Sales experience and/or knowledge of agriculture equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Ability to present and negotiate with potential customers.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious and energetic entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
  • Must be available to travel; a valid driver's license and passport are required.
  • Bilingual English & French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • New account creation and development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential Customers.
  • Achieve Sales targets as set out by the Company.
  • Develop a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future opportunities.
  • Promote & sell New & Used Wholegoods assigned to role.
  • Promote rental and rental purchase of New and Used Wholegoods.
  • Understand and apply machine and company features to drive sales success.
  • Deliver continuous Prospecting activity and development of new accounts.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and industry models.
  • Promote Brandt during industry events as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of Sales activities and Quotations.
  • Submit lost sales reports weekly to management.

Job description

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Territory Manager - Lawn & Garden for our Red Deer Agriculture location.

The Territory Manager - Agriculture role is vital in the creation, fostering, and growth of Customer relationships within the defined area of responsibility (AOR), with the goal of increasing sales and rental revenue of New and Used Wholegoods. A successful Territory Manager (TM) will have extensive knowledge of all potential users of new and used John Deere equipment within their designated AOR, be aware of and participate in the purchasing and rental activities of all Customers, and report back to the Company on activity/transaction details on a day-to-day basis.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • New account creation and development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Customers.

  • Continuous development of a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future Customer opportunities.
  • Promote & sell all types of New & Used Wholegoods assigned to role.
  • Promote rental and rental purchase of New and Used Wholegoods.
  • Understand and apply Machine and Company Feature, Advantage, Benefit statements to drive sales success.
  • Deliver continuous Prospecting activity and development of new accounts.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and industry (competitive) models.
  • Actively participate in and promote Brandt during industry events as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of Sales activities, Customer interactions, and Quotations.
  • Submit lost sales reports on a timely basis. Lost sales reports are to be filled out on all lost sales and submitted on a weekly basis to the manager. These are a must to receive, as competitive pricing is required by John Deere.

  • Sales industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of agriculture equipment considered an asset.

  • Must be available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract and valid passport are required.
  • Being bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
