Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd is seeking a Territory Manager - Agriculture for the Cardston County area, reporting to Pincher Creek. The TM will grow customer relationships to increase sales and rental revenue of New and Used Wholegoods with knowledge of John Deere equipment within the area.

Responsibilities include creating and developing accounts, maintaining strong customer relationships, achieving sales targets, building a robust sales pipeline, promoting rentals and wholegoods, and keeping product

Qualifications

  • Sales experience in agriculture equipment is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
  • Motivated, entrepreneurial, and energetic.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organization.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel; valid driver's license and passport may be required.
  • Bilingual English/French is an asset.

  • New account creation and development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Achieve sales targets as set by the company.
  • Develop a comprehensive sales pipeline for opportunities.
  • Promote and sell New & Used Wholegoods and rentals.
  • Understand product features and how they drive sales.
  • Maintain records of sales activities and quotations.
  • Submit weekly lost sales reports to management.

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Territory Manager - Agriculture for our Cardston County area, reporting to Pincher Creek.

The Territory Manager – Agriculture role is vital in the creation, fostering, and growing of Customer relationships within the defined area of responsibility (AOR) with the goal of increasing sales and rental revenue of New and Used Wholegoods. A successful Territory Manager (TM) will have extensive knowledge of all potential users of new and used John Deere equipment within their designated AOR, be aware and participate in the purchasing and rental activities of all Customers, and report back to the Company on activity/transaction details on a day to day basis.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • New account creation and development.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential Customers.
  • Achieve Sales targets as set out by the Company.
  • Continuous development of a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future Customer opportunities.
  • Promote & sell all types of New & Used Wholegoods assigned to role.
  • Promote rental and rental purchase of New and Used Wholegoods.
  • Understand and apply Machine and Company Feature, Advantage, Benefit statements to drive sales success.
  • Deliver continuous Prospecting activity and development of new accounts.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and industry (competitive) models.
  • Actively participate in and promote Brandt during industry events as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of Sales activities, Customer interactions, and Quotations.
  • Submit lost sales reports on a timely basis. Lost sales reports are to be filled out on all lost sales and submitted on a weekly basis to the manager. These are a must to receive, as competitive pricing is required by John Deere.
What We Look For
  • Sales industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of agriculture equipment considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Ability to present and negotiate with potential customers.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious and energetic entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract and valid passport are required.
  • Being bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
