Territory Manager, Corporate - Hamilton / Brantford and Surrounding Area

Position Overview

The TM is a key decision maker and primary point of contact for all operational aspects of Company Owned Retail locations in Hamilton / Brantford and surrounding areas, including significant travel. Responsibilities include overseeing HSE, operational excellence, managing site reports, and developing Retailers aligned with Parkland’s vision.

This role involves leading execution, collaborating with external and internal stakeholders, building a pipeline of future retailers, and maintaining a high level of customer interface. The ideal candidate is a strong leader, performs well under pressure, drives accountability, and has high financial acumen to manage P&L for each site.

Responsibilities
  1. Champion safety and food safety regulations across all sites.
  2. Lead Retailer recruitment, training, onboarding, and performance development.
  3. Review markets and develop strategies to meet sales and volume targets.
  4. Own P&L including revenue, operating expenses, and cost controls.
  5. Analyze fuel performance and market dynamics to drive traffic and sales.
  6. Manage daily operations, sales activities, and brand promotion.
  7. Support merchandising execution and site-level promotions.
  8. Lead projects, site openings, and training initiatives.
  9. Conduct operational evaluations and compliance checks.
  10. Assist in developing and monitoring the annual operating budget.
  11. Develop action plans based on site results.
  12. Adjust food production plans for profitability and waste reduction.
  13. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional Operations Manager.
Requirements
  1. Post-secondary education in management or related field with retail, sales, and marketing experience.
  2. 1-3 years of food service management experience, preferably multi-unit.
  3. 5-8 years of retail experience in a multi-unit environment, preferably in food / convenience retail.
  4. French language skills are an asset.
  5. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, sales, and marketing skills.
  6. Ability to make professional decisions under pressure.
  7. Enforce safety and company standards at sites.
  8. Financial management skills focused on P&L and budgeting.
  9. Proficiency with Excel, Word, and relevant systems.
  10. Willingness to travel 50-75%, with a valid driver’s license and clean record.
  11. Ability to work independently and perform in the field.
