What We Need

Mohawk is looking for a Territory Manager to be a selling agent for Mohawk Industries in the Ottawa/Quebec Canada area. This is an entry-level sales position that requires creativity and latitude. The principal responsibilities include discovering new customers and existing markets within the assigned territory to achieve short and long-term objectives outlined in the company’s Business Plan.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform sales calls, including traveling to customer facilities to share information, support, and make sales presentations to prospective and current clients. Calculate and quote prices, take orders, and close transactions.
  • Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues within marketing policies.
  • Communicate customer requirements and coordinate with other departments as needed.
  • Monitor territory performance against objectives and take strategic actions to improve results.
  • Provide product-specific customer feedback to relevant departments to support company goals.
  • Assist in establishing sales objectives and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Report activities and support business and product planning through timely updates.
  • Develop a territory coverage plan to meet goals with appropriate support and contact frequency.
  • Analyze regional opportunities and develop sales forecasts and reports as required.
What You Have
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and training.
  • Ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of company products and services.
  • Understanding of marketing and sales concepts, including basic accounting, product development, manufacturing, distribution, and customer service.
  • Proficiency with PC, email, and database systems.

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills in oral, written, and interpersonal forms.
  • Ability to manage conflict professionally.
  • Persuasion, marketing, and sales skills for new ideas.
  • Analytical skills for statistical and financial data to develop solutions.
What Else?
  • 75% - 100% domestic travel required. Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs without aids. Visual requirements are similar to those needed for a valid driver’s license. Physical activity includes standing, reaching, climbing, and using all major limbs.
