Job summary

Brandt Tractor Ltd is seeking a Territory Manager - Shortline in Bassano, AB to grow sales and rental revenue for new and Used Wholegoods within the designated area. You will cultivate relationships with potential and existing customers, understand John Deere equipment usage, and report activity daily.

The role requires sales experience in agriculture equipment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

  • Sales experience in agriculture equipment preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Willingness to travel; valid driver's license and passport required.
  • Bilingual English and French is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop new accounts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets set by Brandt.
  • Develop a comprehensive sales pipeline for opportunities.
  • Promote and sell New & Used Wholegoods.
  • Promote rental options for equipment.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and competitive market awareness.
  • Record and report sales activities, customer interactions, and quotations.
  • Participate in industry events to promote Brandt.

Description

Brandt Tractor Ltd is currently seeking a Territory Manager - Shortline for our Bassano Agriculture location.

The Territory Manager - Shortline role is vital to creating, fostering, and growing customer relationships within the defined area of responsibility (AOR), with the goal of increasing sales and rental revenue for new and Used Wholegoods. A successful Territory Manager (TM) will have extensive knowledge of all potential users of new and used John Deere equipment within their designated AOR, stay aware of and participate in the purchasing and rental activities of all Customers, and report activity and transaction details to the Company on a day-to-day basis.

What You Will Be Responsible For
  • New account creation and development.
  • Build andmaintainstrong relationships with existing and potential Customers.
  • Achieve Sales targets as set out by the Company.
  • Continuous development of a comprehensive Sales Pipeline of immediate/future Customer opportunities.
  • Promote & sell all types of New &UsedWholegoodsassigned to role.
  • Promote rental and rental purchase of New and UsedWholegoods.
  • Understand and apply Machine and Company Feature, Advantage, Benefit statements to drive sales success.
  • Deliver continuousProspectingactivity and development ofnew accounts.
  • Keep current on product knowledge and industry (competitive) models.
  • Activelyparticipatein and promote Brandt during industry events asrequired.
  • Maintainaccuraterecords of Sales activities, Customer interactions, and Quotations.
  • Submit lost sales reports ona timelybasis. Lost sales reports are to be filled out on all lost sales andsubmittedon a weekly basis to the manager. These area mustto receive, as competitive pricing is required by John Deere.
What We Look For
  • Sales industry experience and/or a comprehensive knowledge of agriculture equipment considered an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
  • Ability to present and negotiate with potential customers.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious and energetic entrepreneurial outlook.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer knowledge and skills including Microsoft office suite.
  • Must be available to travel as needed; a recent driver's abstract and valid passport are required.
  • Being bilingual (English & French) is considered an asset.
