Job Description

Reporting to our Company's Associated Director of Sales within the Farm Animal Business Unit, the Account Manager is responsible for achieving the annual sales and business objectives within his/her territory by coordinating the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Territory Tactical Plans, ensuring alignment with Regional and National Business unit objectives. It is critical that the Account Manager demonstrates leadership ability to foster collaborative relationships to build meaningful partnerships with other internal stakeholders who have shared responsibility with channel partner organizations.

The Account Manager is responsible for understanding customer needs and maintaining client satisfaction while ensuring consistent and accurate communication of complete product information. This is achieved through ongoing face-to-face and/or virtual calls with targeted Dairy and Beef Producers to increase sales and market penetration in the territory. This includes conducting Continuing Education meetings, attending product and sales training, and participating in conferences and conventions.

The Account Manager develops networks and builds strong relationships with key customers, including Key Opinion Leaders and community advocates within their geography. They will perform their tasks in line with our company's values, standards, policies, procedures, industry standards, and legal regulations.

The role involves optimizing business potential through effective analysis, planning, implementation, and organization. Managing territory data via CRM and other tools, along with administrative duties like weekly reports, expense reports, and client requests, are also part of the responsibilities.

This full-time position is targeted for Ontario, Manitoba, and parts of Atlantic Canada, preferably based in Ontario.

Responsibilities

  2. Manage Livestock Monitoring product portfolios and provide on-site sales and technical support.
  3. Implement Key Account Management principles, including creating and maintaining account plans.
  4. Coordinate activities supporting account growth, communicate regularly with internal teams, and gather market intelligence.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, presenting product information and business solutions.
  6. Develop proposals, negotiate terms, and implement contractual agreements to achieve financial goals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or dairy-specific degree.
  • Experience in sales, management, or marketing within agriculture or animal health industries.
  • Understanding of Canadian dairy and beef industries.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to develop detailed account plans and understand financial metrics.
  • Decision-making skills and innovative thinking.
  • Ability to work within a rapidly evolving industry and travel as needed.
  • Proficiency in office software; valid driver’s license; excellent communication skills in English; French is an asset.
