Summary

Join Our Team as the Terrestrial Invasive Species and Feral Horse Management Coordinator (TISC).

The Terrestrial Invasive Species and Feral Horse Management Coordinator (TISC) is a key leadership position within the Rangeland Stewardship and Programs Unit, responsible for the strategic development and operational delivery of Alberta’s Terrestrial Invasive Species Program and Feral Horse Management Framework. As a subject matter expert, you will work both independently and collaboratively across ministries, spearheading initiatives that promote the sustainable management of Alberta’s rangeland ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Lead program planning, implementation, and ecological monitoring
  • Engage and build partnerships with stakeholders
  • Supervise staff and manage budgets and contracts
  • Ensure effective, transparent, and accountable delivery of impactful conservation programs
Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Master’s degree in Agriculture or a Science-related field with relevant specialization plus at least 4 years of related experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or a Science-related field with relevant specialization plus 7 years of senior-level experience in the specialty area
  • Eligibility for membership with the Alberta Institute of Agrologists (AIA) is required
